Community areas

Well-being area.

The volunteer group worked with local community groups and Bridport Hospital to provide an area on the edge of Cooper's Wood, providing a green space for well-being. Specially designed work bench and seating has been installed for those using mobility scooters and wheelchairs, with seating for carers. 
The Well-Being Area was installed in the spring of 2020. We must thank those that had the vision to support the idea and help fund the project. West Dorset District Council S106 S106 money due to Allington Parish Council, Dorset Community Impact Fund, Stepping Into Nature, West Bay Car Boot Fund, Allington Parish Council and the National Lottery. We also received a sum of money from Co-Op Community Fund and private funding, to allow us to set up activities once more once all restrictions due to Covid 19 has been lifted.
